शिक्षा बचाओ -- Shiksha Bachao

"The child is taken to school, and the first thing he learns is that his father is a fool, the second thing that his grandfather is a lunatic, the third thing that all his teachers are hypocrites, the fourth that all the sacred books are lies. By the time he is 16, he is a mass of negation -- lifeless and boneless." -- Swami Vivekananda

His Lordship Adi Shankara

On page 17 in the history book for class 7, there is a small paragraph on His Lordship Adi Shankaracharya.

As you can see, NCERT does not think that
the saint who is revered by all Hindus across the world, deserves any apithet. Same for Sri Ramanujacharya.

In comparison the same book devotes two full pages on the insignificant religion floated for personal gains by Akbar the Great (sic).

Now how to explain illiterates like Dinanath Batra that Hinduism is not the name of a single religion, that it is rooted in manifold practices established in India over the centuries and so it is not possible to include a 2 page description on "Hinduism". On the other hand Islam is clearly distinguishable as it is a 'founded' religion, not a natural one, and therefore it is possible to discuss, at least some amount of clearly established principles in textbooks. But it is of no use explaining to retards like Dinanath Batra and other such RSS' nonsense.
